So, Yhwach wanted to destroy the universe and his win-condition to do so was removing the boundaries separating the realms, this being possible through two methods: imbalancing the Soul Cycle or killing the lynchpin (Soul King) keeping the boundaries intact. Additionally, we know that the reason Yhwach wanted to remove the boundaries was to destroy the realms and all connected to them (this will be made explicitly clear in the next section). The scans I believe are most important to pay attention to are the two from CFYOW: lack of a Soul King causes the boundaries to collapse and YhwachвЂ™s goal was to remove the boundaries. However, as IвЂ™ll later display, this method of eliminating the boundaries is disrupted as well, forcing Yhwach to act impromptu and adapt accordingly. This leads into YhwachвЂ™s invasion of Seireitei, wherein he travels his way up to the Soul King Palace in order to kill the Soul King, which would destroy the boundaries between the realms and lead to their collapse. Additionally, itвЂ™s heavily implied that the only reason Yhwach caused such unrest in Hueco Mundo, killing Hollows, imbalancing the Soul Cycle in the process, was solely to trap Ichigo in Hueco Mundo. We see this at the start of the war where he attempts to do so by imbalancing the Soul Cycle through erasing Hollows however, Mayuri thwarts that plan by rebalancing the Soul Cycle through sacrificing civilians. Through the manga scans above itвЂ™s clear to see that, prior to Yhwach absorbing the Soul King, he was doing everything he could do to destroy the balance and cause the boundaries to collapse. The narrator of CFYOW proclaims that the Soul KingвЂ™s death nearly destroyed the boundaries between the realms (last complete paragraph in the scan), and the narrator also states that Ginjo had heard YhwachвЂ™s goal was to remove such boundaries (final paragraph in the scan).Yhwach leads Ichigo to Soul King Palace with the express purpose of having Ichigo kill the Soul King, going on to state after Ichigo cut down the Soul King that Soul Society will be destroyed, and further explaining how the Soul King exists to protect and keep the universe stable, thus by killing the Soul King the universe will be destroyed.Yhwach invaded Soul King Palace in order to kill the Soul King and make all of the three realms of existence disappear, Shinji and Kisuke backing this up as they comment on how Squad 0 failed to protect the Soul King and with his death everything will collapse.Yhwach invades Soul Society only after Ichigo heads to Hueco Mundo.The Quincy begin eliminating Hollows to disrupt the soul balance, leading to Mayuri having to take drastic measures to correct said balance, such an imbalance is capable of destroying the boundaries.LetвЂ™s look at the evidence that led me to such a conclusion. YhwachвЂ™s original goal was to destabilize the Soul Cycle and kill the Soul King in order to break the balance of the universe causing it to ultimately collapse.
