These are the best games in the series, and IвЂ™m glad theyвЂ™ve been getting better reception as of late. ItвЂ™s the content of HGSS but better balanced, and in Unova, which I prefer to Johto. Unova was already my favorite region, but the new cities really bring it to life. The postgame content is rivaled only in terms of quality by EmeraldвЂ™s Battle Frontier and in terms of quantity by HGSS with Kanto. The graphics were the peak of 2D sprites. The gameplay was at a perfect peak before GF started focusing on gimmicks. While the story isnвЂ™t as good as in those games, itвЂ™s still better than almost any other in the series, and everything else is the absolute pinnacle of the series.

Black 2 & White 2 - This is essentially BW receiving the HGSS treatment.

Oh, and I haven't played Let's Go, USUM or SS, so those aren't included. These games are all pretty close in terms of quality, so it doesn't matter much.

I will not call any game in this series 'overrated' because they're really not.

I know I don't love Hoenn like so many others, but if you do, you're not wrong. The exact ranking doesn't matter too much, and I'm probably wrong and you're right, so don't hate me. This is, of course, just my opinion, so don't take it too seriously.
